Located
in Lancashire, amidst miles of countryside and lakes, Rivington Hall
Barn is situated in Lever Park and is a very special and unique place
to party. The village of Rivington and its surrounding countryside is
a conservation area and is a place of stunning beauty. It is part of
the West Pennine Moors and most recently came to world wide notice when
it hosted the outdoor cycling events for the Commonwealth Games 2002.

Rivington
Hall Barn is a listed building with a genuine Anglo Saxon design. Its
dimensions are 32m (105ft) long, 17m (57ft) wide and 7m (23ft) high.
The interior features original wooden beams. The earliest records of
the manor were written in 1202. Today it is used for dances, weddings
and other entertainment and catering functions. On every Sunday and
most Bank Holidays it is open as a licensed cafe.
Our sister premises, the Great House Barn, is a Tea Room and Gift Shop which is open every day except Christmas Day. Both Barns can be found via Rivington Lane in the heart of Rivington, (near Bolton). Rivington Hall Barn is clearly sign posted at the bottom of the access driveway opposite the Great House Barn. The village of Rivington and surrounding countryside is a beautiful location. Hidden in the hillside are the ruins of the once famous ornate "Chinese Gardens". The ruins are all that remain of the estate formerly owned by Lord Leverhulme (circa 1900). Looking down over the woodland on a hilltop is Rivington Pike. The stone structure commemorates a historic early warning beacon. |
